The Growth Retainer
Found by the people near you.
£500 a month, with one job: when somebody nearby searches for the work you do, you are the one they find. Six-month minimum, for a plain reason. Reviews and map position take a couple of months to build, so six months is how long it takes to be worth anything. Then it continues until you stop it.
One job, four parts
Being found locally.
None of these works alone. Together they are one system, and the system is the point.
Your Google listing, run properly
Set up, kept current, and worked on every month: the categories, the services, the areas you cover, the photos, the posts, the questions. This is what decides whether you show up in the map results. Almost nobody maintains it.
Reviews, arriving automatically
Every completed job triggers a review request to the real customer. No chasing, no awkward asks, no filtering out the bad ones. Reviews are the biggest single thing that moves map position, so this is not a nicety.
Hosting and care
The site stays fast, up, backed up and current. You never have to think about it.
One report a month
Reviews gained, calls from the listing, and where you now sit in the map results for your own work. No traffic report.
No small print
When you stop, you keep everything.
After the six months it is monthly, and you stop it whenever you like. You keep everything: site, domain, data, the lot. It was in your name from day one. The site keeps working. It just stops being looked after, and the listing work stops with it.
What this is not
Nobody can sell you rankings.
Google does not sell positions and no agency controls them. Anyone who promises you the top spot is guessing or lying. The ones who promise it fastest are usually doing the things that get sites penalised later.
What is inside your control is real. Genuine reviews against the business down the road. A listing that is complete and current. A site that loads before they give up. That list is the retainer.
Each month the report says what was done, what moved, and what did not. If a month was quiet it says so. No traffic charts, no impressions.
There is a bigger version, for a bigger goal. £500 a month is being found on the map nearby. £2,997 a month is being found for the work itself, across a whole region. It lives onthe What it costs page.
Fair questions
About the retainer.
Am I tied in?
For the first six months, yes. Reviews and map position take a couple of months to build, so six months is how long it takes to be worth anything. After that it is monthly, and it continues until you stop it.
What happens when I stop?
You keep everything: site, domain, data, the lot. It was all in your name from day one, so there is nothing to hand back. The site keeps working. It just stops being looked after, and the listing work stops with it.
Does it include changes to the website?
No. The retainer is care and being found: the listing, the reviews, the hosting, the report. New pages belong to the build, and extra job pages are £150 each, whenever you want one.
Can you guarantee I will rank first?
No, and neither can anyone else. Google does not sell that, and nobody can promise it honestly. What can be promised is the work: the listing gets worked on, the reviews get asked for, and the numbers get reported.
How soon does it show?
Reviews move fastest, often inside a month. Map position usually shows over three to six months. That is the honest reason for the six-month minimum. Anyone quoting faster than that is describing an advert, not search.
What if I already have someone doing SEO?
Then you probably do not need this. The retainer exists because most owner-run businesses have nobody doing it, and a listing nobody looks after goes quiet.
Where it starts
Quiet is optional.
It starts with the build, and the build starts free: a sample homepage for your actual business, before you pay anything. You answer three questions and wait.
